During Covid the former mayor made a whole bunch of changes to the high school admissions process and things have been holding steady for the past two seasons. Now it’s sounding like the current chancellor is talking about making some changes to those changes, specifically about District 2 priorities:
A quick synopsis: there were a handful of sought after schools that gave priority to District 2 families. District priority was done away with although some borough priorities remain. Keep in mind that all these schools have diversity in admissions set asides. The article said a decision will be made before the process kicks into high gear in the fall. We’ll see.
