The DOE is sharing high school offers this week, 3/7 to be exact, with current 8th graders.
It can be an emotional time for kids, for families, for those who got exactly what they wanted, for those who don’t. This could be an opportunity to start to talk to your kids about the process, about expectations, and about what’s going on for kids who got offers.
A quick note:
Some of the info currently on the DOE website about the high school process is evergreen and some is specific to each season. If you have been hearing about screened group (one type of admissions methods) grade cut offs, numbers for your kids won’t be available until fall.
